Aging Hair

As we age our hair ages with us, for many aging hair means going bald, and yet for others this means dry splitting hair or possibly just gray hair.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could slow that aging process down?

Well I have some good news for you……. YOU CAN!!!

In fact some of these problems you can actually reverse (a future post perhaps?), but for now we will focus on slowing things down.

Here are the steps to fight aging hair.

  1. Get a good quality coconut oil (organic, virgin, unrefined and cold pressed)
  2. Scoop out 1 or 2 teaspoons
  3. Massage it into your scalp all over
  4. Do this for at least 10 minutes at least 4 days a week.
  5. Leave in hair over night, washing it out in the morning shower.

After the 10 minutes of massaging, you can even smooth it through the rest of your hair. This will help if dryness is one of the problems you are having. You only need to do this part once a week if you choose to do it.

This also makes a fantastic conditioner.

Coconut oil is rich in antioxidants, it also has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. It nourishes the scalp,and supports hair growth. Coconut oil also nourishes the hair with vitamins and minerals, and reduces protein loss in the hair. All of which will help slow the aging process in your hair.

Coconut oil is an amazing thing.

As with all my tips, it needs to be done consistently over time to make a difference.
